However, no matter the age range or genre I’m writing in, my mission is to bring truth, hope, and humor into the lives of my readers. My desire is to write stories that highlight virtues and tackle deep topics. Usually, my stories feature strong platonic friendships, heart-pounding action scenes, and sarcastic humor. I aim to write the kind of clean, uplifting fiction that I craved myself as a tween and teenager — fiction that is neither preachy nor empty but which thrums with subtle undertones of truth, philosophy, and integrity. Fiction that doesn’t sacrifice good storytelling to get a message across. I write to celebrate and uplift family and friendship over the far-more-common themes of self-realization or romance I often find in the market. And most of all, I write for the King. To speak truthfully, to write beautifully, and to create stories that champion goodness.
